Class: Answer the following - In your own words define, Precept (Wonder pg. 46). Come up with your own personal precept and explain it.
i.e. Mr. Hearn's May Precept:
"Travel is the only thing you buy, that makes you richer."
This means that money spent on travel buys memories and life experience that you cannot acquire through store bought objects and technology. When you travel with family and friends you learn alot about yourself, and each other. You can fully immerse into cultures and ways of life that you would never experience through books and television. Why spend money on things that only provide short term entertainment, when you can experience and keep a lifetime of love, laughter and memories.
Our class is currently reading R.J. Palacio's "Wonder". Students will blog about themes, motifs, and reactions to the novel.
